Immediate Threat to Life Immediate Threats to Life & Health In accordance with The Joint Commission®‘s Standard EC.1.10.3, the Administrator on Call or his/her designee, Safety Officer and House Supervisor are delegated to act in my name, to stop any immediate threat to the life or health of patients, visitors or staff, or to the buildings and property of the organization that may be identified. If, in their professional judgment, they deem it necessary to invoke this authority, they should, as soon as practical, notify the Administrator on Duty, and/or this office, and the head of the department in question about the specific location and nature of the event that prompted this action. Further, they should notify these parties of any injury, corrective actions or continuing risks with the problem, and document these on an Incident Report form. |
